Disable Windows Updates
Windows Updates can silently re-enable Defender definitions and push driver changes that interfere with the permanent spoofer. Block them before continuing.

Download Wub from Sordum
Wub (Windows Update Blocker) is a free tool from Sordum that disables Windows Updates with a single click.
Windows Update Blocker (Wub)
sordum.org — free, extract and run as admin
- Extract the ZIP file and run Wub_x64.exe as Administrator

Extract and Run Wub
Extract the downloaded archive and launch the correct executable for your system.
- Extract the ZIP file to a folder of your choice
- Run Wub_x64.exe (64-bit systems) as Administrator

Disable Windows Updates
Use the Wub interface to block all Windows Update traffic.
- In the Wub window, select Disable Service
- Click Apply Now
- The status indicator should change to show updates are blocked

Windows Update can silently re-enable Defender definitions and push driver updates that overwrite spoofed hardware identifiers, causing the spoofer to fail.
